What is the vision of the Philippine
Haggai Institute Alumni Association (PHIAA)?
The
vision of PHIAA is to help ensure that the Gospel
is presented in the power of the Holy Spirit with cultural relevance and sensitivity to all peoples, especially in the unreached
parts of the Philippines.
PHIAA intends to do this by empowering
leaders at every strata of the Philippine society.
What is the purpose of PHIAA?
The
purpose of this Association is to advance the skills of qualified Christian leaders to more effectively evangelized our own
people and train other national leaders to do the same.
PHIAA is a non-stock, non-profit organization registered under
the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1981 aimed at training the clergy and laity in leadership for evangelism through
seminars.
It has already trained over 6,000 Filipino leaders. These leaders are now effective witnesses for the Lord
by living as salt and light and are also sharing their training so that our nation can be impacted with the gospel of Jesus
Christ.
Why PHIAA seminars?
PHIAA focuses on the 'how of evangelism'. The training
methodology in PHIAA seminars is highly interactive
and facilitates exchange of ideas in a highly motivated environment.
A PHIAA seminar is not a theological
school neither is the seminar a spiritual retreat. PHIAA seminars provide an environment where outstanding faculty and participants
exchange ideas and impact one another through their teaching and testimonies.
What
is unique about PHIAA seminars?
The programme offers a unique blend of credentialed faculty
presenting culturally relevant materials through highly effective teaching methodology to a small group of participants. We
limit the number of participants to 35 in a class.
The faculty come with rich experiences in their subjects.
more than teachers they are role models who challenge the participants to a higher level of maturity and achievement.
The participants are all leaders themselves and represent various
careers. They are multilingual, multicultural and cosmopolitan in their makeup. The participants create a powerful synergy
for higher learning.
The follow up is done by encouraging the trained leader to
be part of their own local PHIAA alumni chapter.
These chapters provide fellowship and also an opportunity to pass on the training to others.
What is the objective and curriculum of PHIAA seminars?
The objective of the training is that
at the end of the seminar the participant will be a transformed leader and will be able to lead others to Christ both by word
and example and also train others to do the same.
The subjects covered in the PHIAA seminars
include:
The Biblical Mandate and Contemporary Models and Methods

for their staff. The number of days of training for these seminars are from 3 to 5 days depending on the sponsoring organization's
desire.
Values Formation Seminars are also
offered and conducted in all government agencies and institutions. PHIAA signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Presidential
Council on Values Formation (PCVF), an attached agency under the Office of the President mandating PHIAA conduct values formation
seminars in all branches of the government including LGU’s, GOCCs and the military. The module being used here were
specifically made for government people. Seminar may range from 3 to 5 days depending on the agency involve.
Faculty Development Seminars are also held to improve the
training skills of the increasing number of faculty members in the Philippines. As of now over 100 faculty members are teaching

How much does it cost a participant for a National Training Seminar?
The national seminars are all residential (live
